Tips

After a long movement control order (MCO) period, we finally be able to travel around Malaysia.

This time we decided to stay at one of our favourite hotels in Kuala Lumpur which is Hilton Kuala Lumpur. Hilton Kuala Lumpur is one of the most awarded hotels in KL. Situated adjacent to the main transportation hub KL Sentral, this hotel offers the best connection if you want to travel around the city via train. Not to mention, you can also access the famous shopping mall in KL Sentral, NU Sentral from the hotel through KL Sentral.

In contrast to the previous visit, our stay will be slightly different this time since I am now a Diamond Hilton Honors member which grants me additional benefits compared to the previous visit.

We booked a King Deluxe Room and got upgraded to Grand Executive Room for free. Not to mention, we also had access to its Executive Lounge located on 33rd floor overlooking the KL Botanical Lake Garden.

If you are a Hilton Honors member, you can choose your preferred room one day or on the day of arrival.

Room

The Grand Executive Suite was huge and spacious. We loved the layout of the suite that separates living hall, working desk and bedroom brilliantly.

Once you enter the suite, you will find a guest toilet located at the side of the entrance. This is very convenient if you having guests in your suite and you do not want them to enter your main bedroom. However, please be reminded that there is no water pipe in this toilet.

Grand Executive Suite Living Hall

This suite has a dining table of four, a long sofa, a chair with ottoman, coffee machine and a huge mirror in the living hall.

As you explore the suite, you will find a sliding door that connects you to your main bedroom through a hallway. The hallway looks gorgeous with a working desk overlooking the lake. Behind the working desk, you will find a walk-in wardrobe and plenty of storage spaces.

The layout of main bedroom and bathroom is similar to the King Deluxe Room.

Facilities

The main highlight of this hotel is its swimming pool. We really loved the pool and if you are staying (or planning to stay) at Hilton KL, you must pay a visit to their swimming pool. The swimming pool is huge with waterfall and water slide features which is perfect for family getaway. Since this hotel shares the same building with Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur, so they share the same pool and gym.

The pool area looks magical during sunset and at night after the lights were turned on. The colour gradient of the sky and the pool itself is beyond words.

Food

As a Diamond Hilton Honors member, my friend and I had the access to the Executive lounge on 33rd floor and breakfast at Vasco's. Their executive lounge is open from 12:00 to 20:00 with evening aperitif served from 18:00-20:00.

The menu for evening aperitif was rather limited and simple but it is good if you prefer more privacy and relaxing ambience. They served one appetizer, one main course, desserts, sandwiches and free flow of drinks.

Breakfast at Vasco's was excellent. We really enjoyed our breakfast at Hilton Kuala Lumpur, as always. You can choose variety of food served such as Nasi Lemak with Chicken rendang, roti canai, roti telur, dim sum, noodle station (chicken soup or curry), chinese fried rice, congee, fried noodle, salad bar, egg station, american breakfast, yogurt, and huge station for pastries and desserts.

Staff service

Hilton Kuala Lumpur is known for their highest level of service. Their staffs were well trained and they will do the best they could to make your stay memorable. We have stayed at this hotel before and we must say that we were really impressed with their service.

Special thanks to the Executive Lounge manager, Mr Azan (if I'm not mistaken) for his warm and friendly service, the receptionists, the housekeepers, the pool attendants, the concierge and finally to all Hilton Kuala Lumpur staffs for making our stay memorable.
