Tips

Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur Chinatown is strategically located besides the world's 2nd tallest building, PNB118 (Merdeka 118). Being a part of the Chinatown Revival program, this hotel provides easy access to Chinatown, Petaling Street, hipster cafes as well as the Maharajalela Monorail Station.

Parking & Accessibility

This hotel provides limited indoor car parks for its guests at RM10.60 per stay with multiple entries. For those who prefer to commute using public transport, you can easily access to Maharajalela Monorail Station (5 mins walk), MRT Merdeka Station (10 mins walk), MRT Pasar Seni (6 mins walk) and LRT Pasar Seni (6 mins walk).

Check in

This hotel lobby is located on the 7th floor offering the view of Masjid Negara (National Mosque). Please bear in mind that there is only one elevator connecting the lobby to the multiple story car park so please expect the waiting time to be slightly longer.

Check in was smooth and we were upgraded to Premier Downtown King Room. Staffs were very friendly and helpful, as expected from the Marriott hotels brand.

Room

Our room was located on 19th floor overlooking the KL skylines and the PNB118 (which is still under construction). For Marriott Bonvoy members, you can unlock your room and all other facilities in the hotel compound using your smartphone.

Room was spacious enough to accommodate 2-3 people with all basic amenities provided for our comfort during our stay. The bed and pillows were good but not the best we had.

Bathroom was ok and basic. The only thing that went missing was the rainfall shower. I was expecting to see a rainfall shower in the shower room but I couldn't find any. However, the water pressure was excellent.

The view from our room was spectacular with unobstructed view of KL skylines and the PNB118.

Food

We decided to try their breakfast on the second day during our stay. The receptionist told us that we could get a cheaper price for breakfast if we make the booking through the front desk rather than walk in at the restaurant.

The buffet spread was good enough to start your day with a smile. Breakfast at the Quan's Kitchen (Level 8) starts at 7:00 am until 10:00 am but you are advised to come down early, before 8:30 am or otherwise you will have to "q" at the entrance as the hotel usually has almost 100% occupancy for breakfast after 8:30 am.

Food offered was extensive and worth the price. You can find the typical breakfast food served at Malaysia hotels; Nasi Lemak, noodle station, dim sum, pastry, salad bar, ice cream counter, cheese platter, American breakfast, live egg station and etc. We only managed to get few photos since the restaurant was full during the breakfast.

Facilities

This hotel has a pool and gym located on the 7th floor overlooking the PNB118. The pool was a bit small and usually overcrowded with children and families. We did not manage to take a dip since the pool was fully occupied during our entire stay.

The gym on the other hand was vacant. We managed to pay our visit for a late evening workout. As you can expect, you can find the typical basic equipment available at this gym.

Overall

Overall, we really enjoy our stay here and it is worth to mention that their staffs are one of the best we ever had in any Marriott hotels in Malaysia. We will definitely come back here again when the PNB118 is officially open!
