Tips

Element by Westin Kuala Lumpur is the tallest eco-conscious hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Nestled within the golden triangle of KL, this hotel is the perfect place for you if you want to stay in the city centre at an affordable cost.

Parking & Accessibility

This hotel provides indoor parking for its in house guests at a flat rate of RM15 per stay (multiple entry). However, the best option to explore the city centre is by using public transport. This hotel is just 4 minutes walking distance from Ampang Park LRT Station (Kelana Jaya Line) and you can easily explore the city by taking this train.

Check in

Check in was smooth and fast. I received a notification from Marriott Bonvoy apps saying that my room was ready around 10:00 am so we decided to check in early. I booked a Twin Studio room but was upgraded to Twin Skylines Studio room which offers the breathtaking view of KL city skylines.

The lobby is located on the 40th floor with floor-to-ceiling glass windows so you could enjoy the unobstructed view of KL city during check in. The design of the lobby was minimalist but still functioning.

Room

Room was huge and spacious, as what you would normally expect from Element by Westin hotels. The bathroom sliding door is integrated with a full sized mirror which provides a sense of space and luxury. Bathroom was spacious with standard bath amenities that you could get from Marriott hotels. However, please be reminded that the bathroom sliding door does not come with a lock which means you cannot lock the door while using the bathroom.

The beds were amazing and we had really good sleeps during our stay. The heavenly signature bed by Westin really did the amazing job and we must say that this is the best hotel bed we ever experienced in any of our trips.

The room has a small pantry that comes with complete cutleries and plates to enhance your stay experience. Knife, spoons, forks, plates, bowls, microwave oven and dishwashing liquid are among the amenities that you could find in the pantry area.

Looking for water bottles?? You might not find any in the room. Since this is an eco-conscious hotel, no water bottles were provided in the room and instead you can drink directly from the tap water. Yes you read it right. There was a small pipe next to the sink where you can get clean and treated water supply for drinking. Worry not, this water supply is certified with 3M so you can drink with confidence.

Food

We did not try their breakfast but we managed to try their Juadah Selera Kita buffet dinner in conjunction with Ramadhan. You can read the full review here.

Facilities

This hotel has an indoor infinity pool on level 39. Differs to other hotels, Element KL uses saline to treat the water instead of chlorine. We did not manage to dive in since the pool was closed from 11-17th April which falls on our date of stay. However, I managed to get a sneak peek of the pool on the 18th before check out.

Gym is available onsite as well. Located on the same level with the pool, you may enjoy a breathtaking view while working out. You can find simple and basic equipment in the gym.

This hotel also offers complimentary bicycles (2 units per room) for you to use when exploring the city. What a better way to explore the city especially at night other than cycling while enjoying the KL city skylines.

Overall

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and we will definitely come back again in future. I must say that this is one of my favourite hotels in KL.
